Contemporary Garden, Cirencester
Set on the edge of a busy town in the Cotswolds, a complete overhaul of the garden was required in order to compliment changes made to the house, while making the space work for a young family.
A contemporary scheme using more traditional materials such as the buff coloured Yorkstone paving created a garden that works with the house and surrounding landscape, providing space for relaxing, dining, entertaining and play. A circular raised pond with modern infinity bronze hemisphere water feature was positioned so it can be enjoyed from inside as well as outside of the house.
Planting close to the house has a more formal feel, with Box balls and clipped Prunus lusitanica half standards, while further from the house planting becomes more informal in the curved borders that surround a large lawn, blending with the rural surrounding landscape.
